Today P4/5 and P6/7 had the first of our drumming workshops. We were using a traditional West African drum called a djembe. We learned how to make three different beats on the drum using our hands. We practised keeping a steady beat and began learning sequences which we will add to over the coming weeks in order to make a final piece. We loved our drumming workshop and can't wait for the next one.
