Eco Warrior Challenge
Just before lockdown, we were delighted to have received an 'Award for All' grant to allow us to purchase a new Recobox. The ground has been prepared and I am delighted to say it has just arrived at the school. We are so excited!! This will be a wonderful resource for attracting local insect and bird wildlife and I can't wait for when we can return to school and use it. I've also attached a few photos to show the progress of our play area.
To mark the fact that it was installed when we were off school due to Covid19, I thought it would be nice to have an eco warrior challenge this week. We plan to create a photo collage inside the Recobox of your eco efforts at home during lockdown. Maybe you have created a vegetable patch or planted flowers. Or created your own compost heap. Perhaps you've made a bug hotel or recycled materials in some way and made something. Or found a way to conserve water or reduce the use of single use plastics. Have you been recycling, like we do in school? You could even simply take some pictures of the wildlife that you've noticed in your garden.
We'd love to see how you're being an eco-warrior at home!! Photos can be uploaded via Seesaw or sent directly to smcgrath554@c2kni.net
