Pancake Tuesday gave our P1 and 2 pupils a chance to not only make and enjoy some tasty pancakes but also combine their understanding of money by setting up a shop to buy and sell pancakes. With the extra pancakes we made we were then able to set a price for each pancake and sell them to the other adults in the school community. We made the grand sum of £1.70. On discussion with what to spend the money on the children decided to purchase a treat which they could enjoy at break on Wednesday. Two treats in two days, an excellent return for their hard work and very enjoyable lessons learnt.
