We have been busy celebrating Maths Week by getting out and about and playing maths games in our playground. We played a range of games including: bean bag hop scotch, where we had to throw 3 bean bags and total the numbers they landed on; number clumps where we got into a group of a given number of children then completed a challenge e.g make a triangle, make the longest human chain, order yourself from tallest to shortest etc. and a times table shoot out, where we used water pistols to shoot the answer to a math sum.
We even had time to do a math scavenger hunt and to play follow me. What a fun day of numeracy activities!!
