Today P5/6 travelled to Armagh Museum to learn more about WW2. We looked at some artefacts from that time, and we furthered our knowledge on rationing, evacuation, blackouts and air raids. We even had a go at making our own gas masks. The museum staff were impressed by how much we already knew on this topic but it was lovely getting to handle the gas masks and try out the air raid siren. Christopher also dressed up as an air raid warden, but he didn't think he would fancy doing this job for very long as the metal helmet was very heavy and uncomfortable.
