During their Shared Education classes this term P6/7 have had a STEM focus (STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The children were given the task of designing a shoe for a particular client. The children worked on a variety of designs including a block heel ladies shoe, a trainer and walking boots. The children planned their design and then used mainly recycled cardboard to design their shoe, with some fabulous results! We will continue to develop some of the designs back in class; who knows, you may be wearing some of our creations in a few years!
