The Big Bird Watch in P1
This year P1 have participated in the nationwide Big Schools’ Bird Watch organised by the RSPB. We have been preparing for some time, making sure our window feeders have food and that our bird feeders in the garden are also filled with tasty treats for the birds in Dromore Road.
We have seen a variety of birds coming and going but we can now recognise the difference between a starling and a crow, and the different sounds the seagulls and blackbirds make. Today we saw lots of starlings, crows, blackbirds and seagulls, a few sparrows and robins and a magpie.
We have had great fun learning about the birds and hope to keep up looking after the nature in Dromore Road Primary.
