Today Year 5 and 6 travelled to the Navan Centre in Armagh to meet some Vikings. We had a busy morning looking at some Viking clothing and artefacts and we got to dress up as monks. We even tried writing using ink and quills.
However the highlight of the trip was when we got to visit two Vikings in their home. They told us about their life and showed us many of their weapons. Poor Leah, Brody and Caomham were chosen as slaves, but we managed to release them and bring them safely back to school.
It was a fun day from start to finish and I was very proud of my class. They behaved so well and impressed the Vikings by sharing their existing knowledge on this topic.
